Constituents of essential oils from the leaves and twigs of Zanthoxylum avicennae (Lamk.) DC. Growing in limestone forest, northern Viet Nam

Zanthoxylum avicennae (Lam.) DC. is a medicinal and aromatic plant, belong to the genus. The plant found in some Asian contries, including Viet Nam. various parts of this has been used medicine contain essential oils. In study, oil Z. was isolated. Two oils from leaves twigs (Lamk.) collected limestone forest Northern part Vietnam were separately obtained by hydrodistillation analyzed GC-MS. A total 42 53 compounds identified leaf twig oil, respectively. Mono- sesquiterpenes be main chemical classes both Major constituents β-caryophyllene (18.71 %), α-humulene (14.03 α-terpinene (10.65 γ-terpinene (10.64 linalool (9.42 %).
